there many different type of or ganelles that make up the plant cell. they are chloroplasts, granum, thylakoid, stroma, cell wall, vacuole, nucleus, mitochondria, ribosomes, cytoplasm, lysosome, golgi apparatus, rough/smooth ER. chloroplast main role is to conduct photosynthesis. Granum is a stacked membranous structure within the chloroplasts of plants and green algae that contains the chlorophyll and is the site of the light reactions of photosynthesis. Thylakoid is the number of flattened sacs inside a chloroplast, bounded by pigmented membranes on which the light reactions of photosynthesis take place, and arranged in stacks. stroma is supportive tissue of an epithelial organ, tumor, gonad, etc., consisting of connective tissues and blood vessels. cell wall is a rigid layer of polysaccharides lying outside the plasma membrane of the cells of plants, fungi, and bacteria. In the algae and higher plants, it consists mainly of cellulose. vacuole is a space or vesicle within the cytoplasm of a cell, enclosed by a membrane and typically containing fluid. nucleus is the central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth. the role of the mitochondria are to produce the energy currency of the cell. ribosomes is a minute particle consisting of RNA and associated proteins, found in large numbers in the cytoplasm of living cells. cytoplasm is the material or protoplasm within a living cell, excluding the nucleus. lysosome is an organelle in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells containing degradative enzymes enclosed in a membrane. golgi apparatus is a complex of vesicles and folded membranes within the cytoplasm of most eukaryotic cells, involved in secretion and intracellular transport. endoplasmic retitculum is a membrane system of folded sacs and interconnected channels that serves as a site for protein and lipid synthesis. rough ER is cellular organelles are like tiny organs found in a cell that perform specific functions like the large organs in our bodies. smooth ER is the synthesis of carbohydrates, lipids, and steroid hormones; detoxification of medications and poisons; and storage of calcium ions.
